Once this is selected, an easy-to-read but dated menu appears.

The application allows modification of the fans base speed, as well as the low and high threshold temperatures.

The current presets are also easy to read for all user levels, although the usefulness of changing these values would only be high for advanced Mac owners.

Changing the preferences did appear to impact when the fan started, however.

The Fan Control preference pane is 32-bit, requiring System Prefs to relaunch in 32-bit mode when the pane is clicked.

Ive tried different base fan speed settings and the problem repeats.

Lomotomo targets this software for Macbook and Macbook Pro users, so perhaps this behavior is an incompatibility with the Mini.

However, its nice to have an ability to control the fan for special computing needs.

Fan Control works well with the Mac mini and appears to be very accurate in its temperature and rpm reporting.

Does a nice job of monitoring and controlling the temperature of my CoreDuo mini.

The only minor issue I have is that Id like a working RESET and EnableDisable buttons.
